An iconic event on New Zealand's cultural landscape and a leading multi-arts festival in Australasia - the Festival has been taking place in February-March on every even-numbered year since 1986.

The Festival celebrates the world's top international artists as well as nurturing and presenting work from some of the best artists and producers in New Zealand. Creative collaborations are forged that excite and strive to provide extraordinary experiences for audiences.

The programme welcomes a number of Australasian premieres and epic events to Wellington next year, including The Contact Season of Power Plant, the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular and The Big Bang.

Moved to the Gold Coast where he became a roof tiler, moved to Sydney and decided to walk on stage at The Harold Park Hotel one night, told everyone how a bird poo-ed on him that day and the rest is history. Carl is Australia's highest selling stand-up comedian on DVD.
